Evelyn H. McConnell

Funeral services for Evelyn H. McConnell, 87, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Moss-Service Chapel, the Rev. Mark Maddox officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McConnell died Thursday, Feb. 16 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born on June 15, 1918. She was a retired secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie McConnell; and her mother, Eura Hollis.

Survivors include special friends and caretakers, Kay Alexander and Benny and Audrey Carlisle; and many other relatives and friends. The family thanks Hanceville Nursing Home for their love and care.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today; and from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday.



Ralph Stewart Koehler

Funeral services for Ralph Stewart Koehler, 76, of Vinemont will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, with interment in Cullman City Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Koehler died Friday, Feb. 17 in Cullman. He was born on March 25, 1929, in Cullman to Gustav H. and Elizabeth Mae Stewart Koehler. He was a retired logger and construction worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include four sisters, Clarice C. (Charles) Shafer and Dorothy F. (Tommy) Kelley, both of Cullman, Laura M. (Garrell R.) White and Charlene Koehler, both of Vinemont.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Cullman County.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.



Sheliah Evelyn Laney

Funeral services for Sheliah Evelyn Laney, 58, of Cullman will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating, with interment in Curry Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Laney died Thursday, Feb. 16 at Baptist Medical Center-Princeton. She was born on Sept. 20, 1947, to Bervil Everett and Hazel Evelyn Drummond Harbison. She was employed with the Cullman County Probate Officer for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Sherron Harbison.

Survivors include a daughter, Allyson Haynes; two stepdaughters, Janola (John) Mitchell and Cloressia (Bobby) Mattox; two stepsons, Dumont Laney and Ronald (Jennifer) Laney; a brother, Gary (Joyce) Harbison; two grandchildren, Nathan and Kaitlyn Haynes; five stepgrandchildren, Justin Mitchell, Brett Mitchell, Ethan Mitchell, Denzel Mattox and Jessica Pilgrim; and special best friends, Jimmy and Barbara Laney.

Pallbearers will be Dumont Laney, Ronald Laney, John Mitchell, Justin Mitchell, Denzel Mattox and Brett Mitchell.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.



Mary Ercyl Caudle

Funeral services for Mary Ercyl Caudle, 81, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Drs. Edwin Hayes and Bill Burkett officiating, with interment in Cullman City Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Caudle died Thursday, Feb. 16 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in Cullman County on Sept. 16, 1924, to Chester Loring and Lois Belle Hancock Trimble. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cullman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles F. Caudle; two brothers, Loring Trimble and George Trimble; and a sister, Elizabeth Chaney.

Survivors include a son, Charles Keith Caudle of Birmingham; and two grandchildren, Abby Caudle and Neil Caudle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gideons.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
