Betty Jean McCormick Dabbs
Funeral services for Betty Jean McCormick Dabbs, 77, of Hendersonville, Tenn., will be at noon Saturday, April 20, 2013, in the Hendersonville Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Randall Edmonson officiating, with interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, Tenn.
Mrs. Dabbs died Wednesday, April 17.
She was a past matron of Jere Baxter No. 343 Order of the Eastern Star in Madison, Tenn., and the 1993 Grand Martha for the Tennessee Grand Chapter. She retired in 2010 after 26 years of service from Sumner Regional Medical Center where she worked in the business office.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lois McCormick; sister, Barbara McCormick; brother, John McCormick.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Sam Dabbs Jr.; daughters, Lynn (Dave) Baker of Lakeland, Fla., and Kim (Joe) Dorris of Greenbrier, Tenn.; grandchildren, Sammy and Shelby Dorris and Will and Christy Baker; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service.

Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.

Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
