CULLMAN — D.J. Farley Jr.

Funeral services for D.J. Farley Jr., 81, of Cullman will be held Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Perry Knight officiating. Burial to follow immediately at Cullman City Cemetery.

Moss Service Funeral Home  is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Farley died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 8, 1928 in Cullman to D.J. Sr. and Eva Miller Farley. A lifelong resident of Cullman, he worked as a professional land surveyor in Cullman and for 32 years as surveying department supervisor with G.W. Jones and Sons Engineering in Huntsville.

Mr. Farley and his wife, Wilma Harbison Farley, were charter founding members of Southside Baptist Church in Cullman.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James (Jan) Farley; two daughters, Brenda (Bill) Sweatt and Charlotte (David) Baker; four grandchildren, Beck Barnes, Laura (Dr. Brian) Fuller, Chris (Angie) Baker and Sarah Baker; two great-grandchildren Madeline and Nicholas Barnes; a brother Jervis Farley; a sister Evelyn Harbison and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 from 6 - 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
