Funeral services for Daniel James Johns, 31, of Vinemont, will be Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Eric Brown officiating with interment in Etha Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johns died Friday, July 3, 2009 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born June 8, 1978 in Cullman County to Larry and Rebecca Johns. He was employed by Valley Overhead Door as a garage door installer. He attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church. He was a little league baseball umpire and loved to play his records. He was a graduate of Fairview High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, O.B and Marise Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Drue Hightower Johns; parents, Larry and Rebecca Lee Johns of Vinemont; two sisters, Misty (Willie) Anders of Cullman and Kristie (Chris) Edmonson of Hartselle; two nieces, Lona Anders of Cullman and Esther Edmonson of Hartselle; a nephew, Kaleb Hudson of Cullman; a father-in-law, Eddie (Mary Nell) Hightower of Cullman; and a brother-in-law, Zach Hightower of Franklin, Tenn.
Pallbearers will be James Thompson, Morris Akers, Zach Hightower, Randall Pollard, Buck Falcon and Eddie Hightower. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Bailey, Joe Leone and Wade Dyer.
Visitation will be Monday, July 6, 2009 from 5 - 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
