Funeral services for Lottie Mae Smith, 86, of Addison will be Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Piney Grove Methodist Church. Rev. Greg Stanridge and Rev. Glenn Wood will be officiating. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to funeral with burial in adjoining cemetery.
Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smith died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in Addison. She was born on September 11, 1922 in Lawrence County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Deanie Bell Luker; four brothers, Glenn Luker, Harry Luker, Frank Luker and Herbert Luker; and six sisters, Amy Bryant, Gertrude Denton, Frances Harris, Christine Roberts, Edna Dean Luker and Delilah Grace Luker.
Survivors include her husband, Powell Junior “Red” Smith; two sons, Howell Wendell (Elwanda) Evans and Timothy Junior (Anita) Smith; a daughter, Brenda Gail (Danny) Burden; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Nichols Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m.
