HARTSELLE — Marlin Clarence Horton

Funeral services for Marlin Clarence Horton, 83, of Hartselle will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, Bro. Dewitt Crowe officiating, with burial in Holly Pond Cemetery.

Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Horton died Monday, Dec. 16, at his residence. He was born May 9, 1930, in Cullman County to Art Horton and Grace Ilene Scott Horton. He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church and was the owner of an auto body shop. He was also a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by a son, Glen A. Horton; his parents; and a sister, Ola Gay Estes.

Survivors include his wife, Bettie Joyce Horton of Hartselle; a daughter-in-law, Sharon G. Horton of Cullman; four brothers, Joel Horton, J.C. (Evelyn) Horton, Millard (Jackie) Horton and Donald (Pat) Horton, all of Cullman; a sister, Thelmar (Ben) William of Cullman; and a granddaughter, Jessica Lauren Horton of Cullman.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Burks, Loyd Flack, Paul Bishop, Kenny Hays, Dickie Glenn and Gilmer Ellis.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
