Funeral services for Elzia “Ed” Fallin, 72, of Marion, Ill., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Duck River Baptist Church in Holly Pond, with interment in Duck River Cemetery.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fallin died Sunday, May 4, at his home. He was born Jan. 19, 1936, in Cullman to Oan P. and Alvonia Hann Fallin. Mr. Fallin was a retired truck driver. He loved his family, and he was loved by his family and all who knew him. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lurene Hailes, Louise Hopkins and Shirley Ravenscraft; and a brother, Lonnie Fallin.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Russell Sutton of Energy, and Deborah and Randy Christopher of Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren, Sherry Sutton, Chris Sutton, and Bill Hudgens; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Lucas Jones, and Emily Grace Hudgens; brothers, Chester Fallin of Cullman, Rayford Fallin of Birmingham, Laster Fallin of Alabama, Troy Fallin of Cullman, Morris Fallin of Rockyface, Ga., and Myrtis Fallin of Cullman; and many other family members.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
