Lucille ‘Lucy’ Puckett
Funeral services for Lucille “Lucy” Puckett, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2006, at Glenwood Lutheran Church, Art Museum Square, Toledo, Ohio, with burial in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Central Ave., Toledo.
Ansberg-West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Puckett passed away on Wednesday, March 15. She was born on Oct. 30, 1927, in Cullman County to Pearl and G.J. Bonds. Lucy married William V. “Bill” Puckett in Cullman on Sept. 25, 1948.
Lucy and Bill moved to Toledo immediately following their wedding. Lucy enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle. She was an avid reader and loved poetry and art. Lucy also enjoyed traveling to visit her family. She was a longtime member of Glenwood Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Bill; a son, Richard S. Puckett; two daughters, Nancy S. Dallett and Barbara A. Crandall; her brother, Benjamin J. Bonds of Cullman; five grandchildren, Abigail S. Dallett, Amanda J. Puckett, William D. Crandall, Andrew J. Crandall and Edward B. Crandall; a stepgrandson, Ronald J. Kaufman Jr.; sons-in-law, Thomas B. Dallett and Darse E. Crandall Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Teri L. Puckett; a stepgranddaughter-in-law, Brandy Kaufman; and stepgreat-granddaughter, Ava Kaufman.
Lucy’s family wishes to thank the Franciscan Care Center staff for their wonderful treatment of Lucy over the past two years, as well as the sixth floor nurses at Flower Hospital.
A time of visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Ansberg West Funeral Home, 3000 West Sylvania Ave., Toledo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, 2500 North Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615 or the Franciscan Care Center, 4111 N. Holland-Sylvania Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615.
Blanche Gardner Henderson
Funeral services for Blanche Gardner Henderson, 82, of Hayden, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Mountain Brook Baptist Church, Rev. Paul Rivers officiating, with burial in Ricetown Cemetery in Hayden. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Henderson passed away Thursday, March 16, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Ann (Bobby) Walters of Pinson and Margie (Mitch) Dodson of Hayden; her son, Leon W. (Christy) Henderson of Gardendale; three grandchildren, Jeana Eugenides, Jennifer Daniel and Trent Dodson; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Graham and Gabrielle Daniel; two sisters, Louise Grund of Hanceville and Verla Russell of Hayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
