Cullman County Schools

The Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) has announced the 50 schools across the state that will share $1 million allotted by the Alabama Legislature during the 2018 legislative session. Cold Springs Elementary and Parkside Elementary schools in Cullman County were among those recognized.

This Thursday afternoon, starting at 2 p.m., each school will receive a $20,000 check as a way of recognizing and incentivizing teachers and students who worked hard to achieve proficiency in reading, during last year’s Scantron Performance Series Reading Assessment.

This special awards event will be held at the Gordon Persons Building Auditorium in Montgomery.

Alabama legislators and other dignitaries will be on hand to personally congratulate all 50 schools.
