A pair of players with double-doubles lifted Cold Springs’ varsity girls basketball team to a 57-52 home victory against Good Hope on Monday night.
Haley Freeman picked up 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Caitlyn Hall pitched in 11 points and the same number of boards. Chloe Harbison was good for 13 points in the Eagles’ winning effort, and Karlee Perdue contributed four.
Savannah Fendley led the Raiders with 14 points, barely besting teammate Kayla Tillman’s 13. Katelyn Bishop and Kacy Thomas rounded out Good Hope’s notable scorers with seven and five points, respectively.
The win was Cold Springs’ second over the Raiders in two weeks. It opened the season with a 42-41 nail-biter at Good Hope on Nov. 6.

% Cold Springs 31, Good Hope 29: Bailey West came through in the clutch, nailing a 3-pointer with 2.7 seconds remaining to give the Lady Eagles a Monday night sweep of the Raiders.
Emme Willoughby was Cold Springs’ top scorer with 14 points. West’s heroic trey improved her total to 12.
Kaylee Maddox piped in with 14 points for Good Hope, while Celeste Weishert had 11.
