PREP ROUNDUP: Harris comes through in clutch, Saints defeat Meek 10-9

CULLMAN — Gavin Harris strode to the plate with the game on the line carrying plenty of confidence.

After all, it wasn’t his first rodeo.

Harris delivered the game-winning pop versus Skyline earlier this season and had another chance to do so against area-foe Meek on Monday night.

No problem.

The sophomore slugger roped a two-out base knock to right field to drive in Moe Rosas from second and hand the Saints a thrilling 10-9 comeback win over the Tigers.

“We were all pretty jacked up,” coach Josh Campbell said.

St. Bernard (4-4-1) will travel to Meek Tuesday to try and take the series from the Tigers.
