HOOVER — Zac Crocker and Keegan Thompson both had three hits and two RBIs apiece, and Auston Neal struck out 11 in a complete-game effort, pushing No. 5 Cullman past Florence 7-5 on Wednesday night at the Hoover Spring Break Classic.

Crocker stroked two doubles, while Thompson slugged one to provide the pop for the Bearcats, who wound up with 10 hits. Kristian Robinson was responsible for two of them, and Kolby Robinson and Samuel Murphree each had one. Murphree also accounted for an RBI.

Cole Collins was the only Cullman player to score more than once.

Though the Falcons put five runs on the board, Neal was only responsible for one of them. He allowed just three hits en route to his first victory in four appearances this season.

The Bearcats (15-10) were scheduled to continue tournament play in Hoover at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.
