Cold Springs volleyball defeats Sumiton Christian


CULLMAN — Prep Volleyball

Katie Self had five kills, Karlee Perdue pitched in four and Brittany Hopkins walloped three as Class 2A’s ninth-ranked Cold Springs volleyball team improved to 13-5 with a two-set (25-20, 25-11) road win over Sumiton Christian on Monday.

Hopkins also contributed four aces, while Perdue had six assists and two aces.

The Eagles’ junior varsity squad also defeated Sumiton Christian in two sets (25-4, 25-10).

Keegan Johnson helped out with fives assists and five aces, Hanna Wilson added five kills and four aces, Aerial Bailey had four assists and two kills, and Hannah Watson served up four aces.

Cold Springs traveled to Oakman for an area match on Tuesday. Results from that contest were not made available by deadline.
