BIRMINGHAM — Andy Summerlin threw for a touchdown and passed for the two-point conversion to tie the game at 17-all as time expired in regulation, then hit Kelsey Pope on a 12-yard scoring pass in the second overtime to lead Samford to a 24-17 victory over Wofford on Saturday.

Both teams missed field goals in the first overtime, and Wofford fumbled the ball away in the second OT.

Samford came back from a 17-9 fourth-quarter deficit. Summerlin was 29-of-35 passing with two touchdowns, and Fabian Truss rushed for 120 yards.

Cameron Yaw kicked three field goals for the Bulldogs.

Eric Breitenstein rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown for the Terriers (7-2, 5-2).
