CULLMAN — Cullman Christian School improved to 6-0 Thursday night after defeating Lindsay Lane Christian Academy 3-1 in Athens.
The Lions took the first two sets 25-21 and 25-16. They dropped the third set 25-21 and then came back in the fouth set to win 25-15.
“Overall the girls played well,” said coach Jason White. “It was good for an early-season game. We still have some things to work out in serving and our hits but as a team they played well.”
Senior Haley White had three aces, 16 kills and 11 assists on the night. Senior Yancey York contributed five aces and three kills. Junior Jordan Canaday finished the game with six aces and three kills. Sophomore Christine Aldajaila also had four aces, eight kills and 17 assists.
The Lions’ next match is next Tuesday at Trinity Christian in Oxford. Their first home match is a week from today.
