FAIRVIEW — The Aggies picked up a win in their season-opening game on Friday night, defeating now 0-3 Good Hope.
Fairview led at the quarter breaks 17-10, 35-15 and 45-21.
The Aggies were led in scoring by Blake Parker, who netted 15 points.
Parker was assisted by teammates Elijah Garrison and Luke Bailey, both of whom scored 12 points in the victory.
Good Hope’s Eli Marty was the top scorer for the Raiders in the game, putting in nine points.
Andy Cofer pitched in with eight points and Alex Cofer had six.
Varsity Boys
Cold Springs 78, Holly Pond 76
In a double-overtime thriller, the Cold Springs boys’ team was able to go into Holly Pond and sneak out with a two-point victory.
UAH signee, Chayse Elliott, led all players with a stat line of 31 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and five steals.
Cold Springs trailed the majority of the game and headed into the fourth quarter down 12 points.
The Eagles rallied, though, and sent the game into its first overtime at 60 apiece.
Tristan Chambers scored 21 points for the Eagles, while teammates Layne Rice, 10 points, and Austin Moore, eight points, also contributed in the win.
Colby Adams was the Broncos’ leading scorer with 24 points, with Gunter Morris chipping in with 15 points in the loss.
