COLUMBUS, Ga. —
Troy University’s Jake Tucker added another pleasant result to an already successful summer, finishing the 84th annual Southeastern Amateur in a tie for 10th.
The Cullman High graduate, who swept both local men’s invitational tournaments, shot a 71 on Saturday to cap off the four-round tournament at even-par.
The turnaround time between competitions for Tucker (69-74-70-71) will be short, with the 13th annual Greystone Invitational scheduled for Thursday-Sunday in Birmingham.
Kennesaw State’s Jimmy Beck led the first three days of the Southeastern Amateur but was overtaken by Seth Reeves on Saturday. The recent Georgia Tech graduate secured the title with an overall score of 11-under, three strokes ahead of Beck.
