BIRMINGHAM — Taylor Terry apparently had one last piece of business to take care of in Birmingham on Saturday.
Not even 12 hours after earning All-State Tournament Team honors following Holly Pond's runner-up result in the Class 3A girls title game, the senior walked out of the BJCC as the girls' 3-point Shootout champion. Terry joined her sister, Haley, as winner's of the event. The 2011 Bronco graduate claimed the top prize in her senior year as well.
Cullman sophomore Lawson Schaffer proved that Cullman County is capable of churning out long-range shooters by winning the boys' side of the competition.
Gunter Morris wrapped up a historic season for Holly Pond's basketball programs by being selected to the 3A boys All-State Tournament Team. The junior had a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds in the Broncos' state semifinal game against Southside-Selma, which lost to Madison Academy in the championship on Saturday.
