Fairview was given a rude awakening in a 63-19 road loss to No. 5 Oneonta on Friday night.
The Redskins jumped out to a 49-0 halftime lead before calling away the dogs in the second half.
Aggie sophomore Austin Harris carried the ball 21 times for 47 yards, scoring on runs of 1 and 13 yards. Fairview’s other touchdown came on a blocked field goal in the third quarter. Sambo Woods scooped up the ball and scurried down the field for a 79-yard return to provide the rest of the scoring for the Aggies. Hayden Maples completed 16 of 24 passes for 70 yards and an interception.
Fairview (3-4, 2-3 in Class 4A, Region 6) heads home next Friday to take on Sardis in another pivotal region matchup.
