The Cullman Times
Addison's boys and girls swept the team titles at this year’s Winston County Track and Field Championship.
Five boys combined to win eight individual events, and another four worked together for first in a relay race, allowing the Bulldogs to accumulate 124.5 points. The next closest school had 78.
Jesse Seales was a three-time winner (high jump, triple jump and 110-meter hurdles), while Ronnie Willette was close behind with a couple of victories (shot put and discus). Seth Robinson (long jump), Cameron Cooke (javelin) and Logan Denson (800-meter run) all touted one win apiece.
Kurtis Brown, Tony Brown, Stephen Bryson and Jake Bryson sprinted to first in the 4x400-meter relay.
The Addison girls didn’t tout nearly as many first-place finishes but still lifted the county trophy by a comfortable 114-90 margin over second-place Meek.
Jessica Taylor couldn’t be caught in the 100-meter run and hurdles, and Sadie Brock was just as speedy in the 200-meter run.
Brock, Katie Russell, Makenzie Chambless and Taylor were too much to handle in the 4x100-meter relay.
