GOOD HOPE —
One night removed from giving up a walk-off home run to Hayden, Good Hope ace Cara Goodwin was right back in her usual All-American form, fanning nine and hurling her sixth perfect game in a 5-0 shutout of area-rival Danville.
The victory secured home-field advantage for Good Hope for the upcoming area tournament.
Bailie Andrews and Kayla Tillman both accounted for two hits apiece, while Andrews also added a pair of RBIs.
Goodwin, Alannah Henke, Savannah Fendley and Darby Randolph each contributed one hit.
The No. 4 Raiders (28-6) will travel to county-rival Vinemont on Thursday.
