The Holly Pond boys’ basketball team jumped up three spots in this week’s ASWA basketball poll. The Broncos moved from No. 10 to No. 7 and currently sport a 17-4 record. Cullman and West Point (5A), Fairview (4A) and Cold Springs (2A) were the other teams to receive votes in the county.
On the girls’ side, Cold Springs moved up one spot to No. 5 in the Class 2A rankings, while Holly Pond held its No. 7 spot in the Class 3A poll for the second straight week. Cullman (5A) was the only other county team in consideration for a poll spot.
The Hanceville boys (3A) and Good Hope girls (3A) dropped out of the poll altogether.
