HOLLY POND THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT: Cullman County stays perfect in 1st round

HOLLY POND — Cullman County was a perfect 4 for 4 in first-round action of Holly Pond's 56th annual Thanksgiving basketball tournament on Thursday.

The host Broncos closed a day of family, fellowship and feasting with a close 57-54 victory against Arab.

Gunter Morris kept up a torrid scoring pace with 18 points, while Colby Adams tossed in 10 and Cody Jones had nine.

Earlier in the day, Vinemont defeated J.B. Pennington, Cullman pulled out the W versus Fairview and West Point took care of Locust Fork.



Friday's schedule is as follows:

Game 1 — Vinemont vs. Cullman, 4 p.m.

Game 2 — J.B. Pennington vs. Fairview, 5:15 p.m.

Game 3 — Locust Fork vs. Arab, 6:30 p.m.

Game 4 — West Point vs. Holly Pond, 8 p.m.



The tournament will conclude on Saturday. The fifth-place game is scheduled for 9 a.m., the consolation contest at 10:30 a.m. and the championship at noon.
