DECATUR —
What started out as a close game soon turned into a laugher as the Cullman Christian girls basketball team hammered Bethel Baptist on the road Tuesday night by a final score of 69-26.
The Lions led at the quarter breaks 16-8, 36-12 and 57-20.
“We played a complete game tonight,” head coach Jason White said. “We were able to dictate the tempo the whole time.”
Haley White showed out for the Lions, scoring 29 points, while notching four assists and four steals.
Yancey York continued her solid season with another double-double, securing 21 points and 19 rebounds to go along with seven assists.
Jordan Canaday was also effective for the Lions, scoring 15 points, while adding six steals and six assists.
The win puts the Lions’ record at 16-1 on the season. They are currently riding an eight-game winning streak.
Cullman Christian will take to the road on Thursday night to play Evangel Christian, a team the Lions have yet to beat.
