PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Hiller drops 31 in Meek win
ARLEY — ARLEY — Sean Hiller is up to his old tricks again.
In two games this season, the Meek High guard has dropped 68 points on opposing teams. Hiller has been one of the area’s leading scorers the past two season.
Three days after scoring 37 in a win over Curry, Hiller poured in 31 in the Tigers’ 68-27 victory over Brilliant Monday night.
Dylan Cleghorn followed Hiller with nine points.
Meek (2-0) opened the season with a 64-55 see-saw win over Curry Friday night.
In that game, Curry raced out to a 20-14 lead early, but Meek rallied back to take a one-point advantage into halftime. Trailing by six at the end of the third period, the Tigers closed out the game with a 14-2 run to win the game.
Hiller scored 31 against the Class 5A Yellow Jackets while Cleghorn added 15.
Meek (2-0) hosts rival Addison tonight.
Varsity Girls
• Meek 50, Brilliant 27: The Tigers won their second straight, knocking off Brilliant in Arley.
Kristen Twilley led Meek (2-0) with 14 points while Katie Mauldin tossed in 12 . The Tigers defeated Curry 63-55 Friday night in the season opener.
