ADDISON — COLD SPRINGS — Justin Aby and Chayse Elliott sparked Cold Springs High offensively, leading the Eagles to a 61-50 win over Hanceville Thursday night.
Aby led all scorers with 16 for Cold Springs (2-0), while Elliott tossed in 15. Nic Blanks added 11 for the Eagles.
Hanceville star Trey Jordan and D.J. Lesley paced the Bulldogs with 15 points each, and Geoffrey Hall followed with 10.
Cold Springs travels to play Vinemont Tuesday night. Hanceville (0-1) travels to St. Bernard tonight.
Good Hope 54, Danville 46: The Raiders opened the season with a road win at Danville (0-1).
Kyle Aycock paced Good Hope (1-0) with 18 points and Scott Motes added 17. Taylor Hollis also scored eight points for the Raiders.
Good Hope hosts West Point Tuesday night.
Arab 57, West Point 40: Jonathan Embry scored 16 points and John William Richey added 14 to lead Arab past West Point.
The Warriors got nine points from Zach Douglas, while Mason Beck had eight and Kevin Aaron added five.
West Point (0-2) trailed 15-9 after one quarter, 34-21 at halftime and 44-31 heading into the fourth quarter.
The Warriors travel to Good Hope for a Cullman County matchup Tuesday.
