(Continued)

HUNTSVILLE —

% Good Hope 52, Priceville 32: Darcie Wilson scored 15 points, Cara Goodwin had 12 and the Raiders beat the Bulldogs for the second time in a week on Tuesday night at home.

Good Hope held only a narrow 23-17 advantage going into halftime but put the game out of reach late to improve to 3-6 at this early juncture in the season.

Kacy Thomas accounted for eight points, while Kayla Tillman and Savannah Fendley each had four.

The Raiders will host Danville on Friday.

Varsity Boys

% Fairview 56, Vinemont 41:
Andy Hendrix went wild for 22 points, and Luke Bailey and Peter Kessler both were good for 10 apiece to hand the Aggies their third straight win.

Blake Parker came up just short of a double-double with 13 rebounds and eight points. He also had two blocks for Fairview, which has jumped out to a 4-1 start.

Lance Stanley kept his shooting hand red hot with 15 points for the Eagles. Vinemont (2-5) has lost four consecutive games since a 53-33 win against Class 1A Falkville on Nov. 20.

The Aggies will host Cold Springs on Friday. The Eagles will play Hanceville at Wallace State’s Tom Drake Coliseum.

Junior Varsity Girls

% Rilee White’s stats were unintentionally left out of The Times in Wednesday’s prep basketball roundup, which included a capsule of Cold Springs’ 43-18 victory over Vinemont in JV girls’ action.

White had six points in Cold Springs’ winning effort.
