Fairview opened Saturday's game on a 14-0 run and never looked back, dominating Good Hope from the tip-off to earn a 51-25 victory in the first round of the Cullman County Basketball Tournament.
The Aggies' Chris Green put up all seven of his points in the opening frame to give his team an early 11-0 lead.
From there, Fairview used a balanced scoring attack spearheaded by Dylan Smith's 16 points to slowly pull away from Good Hope over the course of the contest.
Joining Smith in the scoring frenzy was Eric Murphree, seven points; Chance Hill and James Arnold, five apiece; Devan Parker, four; Jackson Smith, three; and Tyler Yearwood and Matt Edge, two points each.
The Raiders were unable to get any consistency on offense, but were led by Tyler Elrod's eight points. Other contributors included Eric Murphree, six points; Tyler Vanderburg and Eric Murphree both had four; and Chase Speegle, three.
With the victory, the Aggies will advance to take on West Point in the second round for a spot in the championship. The game is scheduled for Tuesday at 5 p.m.
