GOOD HOPE —
Alannah Henke put a punctuation mark on a closely contested match with West Morgan Tuesday, serving up an ace on game point to clinch a 25-23, 25-27, 16-14 home victory for Good Hope.
Henke apparently wasn’t the only Raider to show out at the service line. According to coach Rosemary Brown, Good Hope grabbed the first set behind 10 straight points while Katelyn Bishop held the starting position.
Senior-sensation Kayla Scott led the Raiders in kills with 10. Bishop was close behind with eight, as was Henke with six to go with seven blocks. Hannah Smith and Kaylee Maddox each contributed six sets. Smith also had three aces and Maddox five kills.
Good Hope will play at Wallace State’s High School Tournament, which starts Saturday at 8 a.m., and then host Vinemont (4 p.m.) and Danville (6 p.m.) for a pair of area matches on Monday.
