CULLMAN —
The Cullman Christian volleyball team improved to 15-0 with a homecourt win against Flat Hill of Bessemer Thursday evening.
Led by Haley White, the Lions won the first set 25-13, lost the second 23-25 and finished the night 25-11 and 25-15 in the final two sets.
White was credited with seven aces, one dig, 15 kills, 10 assists and a save.
“She kind of owned the court tonight,” coach Jason White said. “She was about 65 percent of our offense.”
The win pushes Cullman Christian’s record to 15-0, which is the best in the school’s history.
Contributing on the court for the Lions were Hannah Sawyer with two digs; Christine Aldlijaili with nine kills and 17 assists; Jordan Canaday with one ace, four digs and one kill; Holly Gray with four aces, five digs and four kills; Lauren Sawyer with two kills; and Raley Warner with two aces, a dig and one save.
“It’s been a great season so far. We hope we can continue to well and look to postseason,” White said.
Cullman Christian travels to Decatur this evening for a varsity match against Cornerstone Christian.
