PREP FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Addison makes it 5 in a row with latest blowout

Cold Springs, Broncos fall in road contests

Geraldine 63, Holly Pond 7: The Broncos dropped their fifth straight game Friday night in a lopsided loss to the host Bulldogs.

Holly Pond couldn't slow down a Geraldine rushing attack that totaled a whopping 513 yards in the game.

The Broncos scored their only touchdown on a 6-yard touchdown run by Jacob Jones to cut the deficit to 28-7 with 7:57 left in the second quarter.

However, Geraldine added two more touchdowns before the half, putting the game out of reach for Holly Pond.

The Broncos (1-6, 1-4 in Class 3A, Region 6) will look to snap its losing streaking at home versus Pisgah next Friday.
