The Hanceville High senior connected on 11 field goals during the Bulldogs’ 49-35 loss to Oneonta in the Oneonta Lady Skins Thanksgiving Tournament. That number just happened to be the exact same amount of field goals scored by Hanceville on the night. In other words, Nation scored all of Hanceville’s field goals. The Hanceville High senior connected on 11 field goals during the Bulldogs’ 49-35 loss to Oneonta in the Oneonta Lady Skins Thanksgiving Tournament. That number just happened to be the exact same amount of field goals scored by Hanceville on the night. In other words, Nation scored all of Hanceville’s field goals. The Bulldogs senior finished with 33 points in the loss. Hanceville trailed Oneonta 19-14 at halftime and managed one basket by Nation in the third, falling further behind by the score of 29-17. But in the fourth quarter, the senior came alive and delievered 18 points, Hanceville dropped to 5-5, losing its third game in four decisions this week. Oneonta improved to 4-0 on the season and finished undefeated in its own classic by knocking off Vinemont later in the evening. ‰ Locust Fork 47, Vinemont 35: A basket by Vinemont point guard Sydney Whittle gave the Eagles a 32-31 lead at start of the fourth quarter. Locust Fork took care of seven Vinemont turnovers and went on a 16-0 run to defeat the Eagles and hand Lance Lay's squad their fifth straight defeat. ‰ Oneonta 49, Hanceville 35: LaSheena Nation scored all of Hanceville’s 11 field goals and finished with 33 points. Oneonta improved to 4-0 on the season and finished undefeated in its own classic by knocking off Vinemont in the evening.
