Severe weather USDA programs available: USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) administers several important programs that help producers recover from disaster damage and livestock deaths. Among the key programs available to address impacts from disasters are the Emergency Conservation Program (ECP), the Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP), the Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees and Farm-Raised Fish Program (ELAP), the Noninsured Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) and the Supplemental Revenue Assistance Payments (SURE) Program. Calling all WSCC alumni: Here are a few WSCC Alumni events:
March 8: Pickin’ Adventure, the American Pickers Antique Archeology Store and the Factory Arts Mall trip to Nashville from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost is $30 and includes transportation. Lunch is at own expense at the mall.
March 11: Preparing for the ACT Workshop from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $75 and includes instruction and take-home workbook.
March 22: Setting Up a Simple Website from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $25.
April 19: Nursing Alumni Connection from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $35 in advance, $45 day of event. 6 hours of CEU credit.
Anyone aged 13 and above may participate in the activities, but if they are under 18 for the Pickin’ Adventure, they must be accompanied by an adult.
All proceeds from these events benefits the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund for WSCC students and to set up transfer scholarships to four-year institutions.
