CULLMAN —
Authorities descended on a Cullman residence early Wednesday morning, apprehending three suspects drug-related charges.
Members of the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) arrived with warrants at a 10th Avenue SE residence, just across from East Side Park, at 6:30 a.m.
The names of the individuals arrested Wednesday are expected to be released Thursday morning, along with the specific charges and findings of CNET’s search of the house, said Craig Green, Cullman assistant police chief.
“The team acted on tips and the results of an investigation when they went to the house,” Green said. “They recovered what appears to be methamphetamine, marijuana, guns, and prescription medications.”
While only three occupants of the home are expected to be charged at this time, Green said several other people were visiting at the residence when authorities arrived.
“The investigation is continuing and we have more information that will be ready to release. A lot of neighbors in the area saw officers arrive at the scene and were concerned,” Green said.
Officers were anticipating finding marijuana and guns at the residence, based on a preliminary investigation, Green said.
“This work has been ongoing and the CNET officers did a good job with this case,” Green said.
