CULLMAN — The Cullman Times' Cares & Shares food drive shattered previous records by the close of the campaign today.
The final tabulation shows donations reaching just over 192,000 pounds of food raised for the Cullman Caring for Kids food bank. The goal was set at 120,000 pounds. Last year's record amount was 118,000 pounds.
The Cullman Lions Club was again the top provider for the campaign. This year the club's effort equaled 137,000 pounds, which is well over double the contribution they raised last year.
