Weather:
Today will be sunny, with a high near 80. East wind around 5 mph becoming south in the afternoon.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 54 with a calm wind.
Public meetings:
The Hanceville City Council will meet at 5 p.m. at Hanceville City Hall. A monthly work session will be at 4:30 p.m.
The Cullman Regional Airport Board will meet at 11 a.m. at the Cullman Regional Airport/Folsom Field.
Best bets:
The Adult Diabetes Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. in the CRMC Community Education Center in POB II.
Overeaters Anonymous will meet at 4:45 p.m. in the Carriage House at Grace Episcopal Church.
Festhalle Farmers Market, located at the corner of 1st Avenue and Arnold Street Northeast, is open today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The old Farmers’ market is open today. Expected hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. — which varies with different farmers. It is located on Young St. NE between 1st and 2nd avenues. Just down from Sno Biz and Depot Park, with parking on Young St. NE.
Recovery meetings:
The Cullman Downtown Alcoholics Anonymous will host a women's big book study at 10:30 a.m. at 321 2nd Ave. SW in Cullman with the regular open discussion meeting at noon. All meetings are non-smoking.

Reminders:
The Goldridge Volunteer Fire Department will be testing fire hydrants this week. All hydrants in the Goldridge Fire Department coverage will be tested and flushed during this week. Please monitor your water for temporary discoloring during this time.
The cutoff date for registering to vote, or for making any name or address changes on your registrations application for the Presidential election, is close of business on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012. Our office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and we do not close for lunch. There are several ways to vote, which include coming by our office on the first floor of the courthouse, or printing out a registration form off the Internet and mailing it to us. The library has forms and you may get one when you test for a driver's license. Just Google “Alabama Registration Form”, or go to the SOS website: www.sos.state.al.us. No applications will be accepted without date of birth and signature. Once you register to vote, we will send out a postcard showing you where to vote. Any information on absentee ballots must go through the Circuit Clerk's office (Robert Bates) on the third floor. When you go to the polls to vote, please have one piece of identification.
