Cullman soldiers awarded rank of corporal

Ivey Walker and Randall Means of Cullman were awarded the rank of corporal while at mobilization training with the 1-167th Infantry Battalion’s Echo Company based in Talladega, Ala. The corporal rank is a junior non-commissioned officer signifying a soldier’s position of leadership within a platoon or squad. The 1-167th and its units in Valley, Pelham, Sylacauga, Cullman, Oxford and Talladega are at Camp Shelby, Miss., preparing for an upcoming deployment to Afghanistan.
