As you head to the polls...

Turnout is expected to be heavy today as residents head to the polls to cast their votes in the general election.

"We've had a large number of people already cast absentee ballots," Probate Judge Leah Patterson Lust said. "So by that bench mark, we're expecting a big turnout."

In addition to the presidential candidate, locally, Cullman county voters will decide the Probate race between Lust and Tammy Brown, as well as the fate of Amendment 1 dealing with the Cullman County School System and the Section 16 land. Voters will also decide the race for Alabama Congressional District 4 between U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt, and Democratic challenger Daniel Boman. Ten other state amendments will be on the ballot as well.
