Interchange 222 meeting tonight in Good Hope

County and city officials, along with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), are holding a public meeting from 5-7 p.m. tonight at Good Hope High School about a possible interchange at Interstate 65 and County Road 222, and the impact it would have on adjacent properties.

"There's still some speculation on us doing the project," Cullman County Commission Chairman James Graves said. "Hopefully there's been some changes to it that will allow us, the city, and Good Hope to share this cost in a manor we can afford, and move forward and get this thing accomplished. We'll know that in the near future."

According to ALDOT Division I supervisor/engineer Johnny Harris representatives from ALDOT will be on hand to discuss and respond to any questions citizens may have.

Ashley Graves can be reached by phone at 734-2131, ext. 225, or by email at agraves@cullmantimes.com
