Hanceville holds opening for new Jack’s

HANCEVILLE — Jack’s opened its doors for customers at 5 a.m. on Wednesday in Hanceville.

However, a ribbon cutting ceremony took place at 10:30 a.m. for the grand opening.

Hanceville High School marching band members were present playing outside during the ceremony. Jack’s donated $300 to the marching band, and presented them with a check following the ribbon cutting.

Hanceville Mayor Kenneth Nail was also present, as well as, the designated ribbon cutter.

“Any business brings more employment,” said Nail. “Jack’s will employ about 55 people, so we’re excited about that.”

Nail said any company that is willing to not just be located in a community, but get involved in that community’s events says something about the company’s morale.

“ I think Jack’s is a winning team, we’re glad to have them in our community, said Nail. “I think they will take part in our community and want to be involved in our events. Things like that really make a good company.”

“ We hope Jack’s does really well; so far I think they have,” said Nail. “Course, if they’re making money, the city is making money because of taxes; so I think it’s a win-win for everybody.”

Hanceville Jack’s is located at 103 Styles Street.
