Local law enforcement recovered drugs and drug paraphernalia Wednesday afternoon, while serving a probation violation warrant on a Cullman woman for distribution of a controlled substance.
Christine Mark, 47, was arrested at 1217 Brunner Street northwest in Cullman by the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team, Cullman City Police Department and the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
“During the search warrant, we found approximately 2.5 grams of methamphetamines, pills, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia,” a CNET officer, who cannot be named for safety reasons, said. “More charges may come as a result of the search warrant.”
Cullman City Assistant Chief Craig Green said many investigations they have are because they receive tips from the public, including this one.
“The investigation started after a complaint was received from a concerned citizen,” Green said. “We both appreciate and need the help from the public. To the agents assigned to CNET- they sacrifice time from their family to try and keep Cullman the place that it is and that doesn’t go unnoticed. I appreciate all the hard work they put into it.”
Cullman County Sheriff Mike Rainey commended the efforts between task forces on their continued proactive efforts.
“We’re grateful to the citizens and the help they give with their tips,” Rainey said. “I appreciate all the constant hard work and dedication from all the officers involved and their effort to get those committing crime off the street.”
Mark is being held at the Cullman County Detention Center without bond. She is being charged with probation violation of a unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, a felony, and other charges might be added.
