CULLMAN — Good morning, readers, this is what's happening in your county today:



Traffic news:

The Cullman County Road Department is currently performing maintenance on County Road 522; bushhogging and regular maintenance continues throughout the county.

The Cullman City Street Department reports that an asphalt patching crew in working in several areas throughout the day.



Weather:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 89. South wind around 5 mph.

Tonight: Sunny, with a high near 91. East wind around 5 mph.



Best bets:

Alzheimers Support Group: The group will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the Depot Room at CRMC Community Education Center in POB II. Info: Jane Farley at 256-737-2038.



Cullman City Board of Education: The Board will meet at noon in the Central Office Board Room, 301 1st St. NE, Cullman 35055.



VFW Tuesday night dance: VFW Post 2214 Ladies’ Auxiliary, 112 Veterans Ave. in Cullman, has a country dance starting at 7 p.m. each Tuesday. Concessions available. Admission is $5.
