CULLMAN — Country music legend Hank Williams Jr. closed out a sold out Rock the South music festival Saturday night at Heritage Park in Cullman. According to organizer Shane Quick, the two-day event brought more than 35,000 country music fans to the area.
Prior to Williams grand finale, southern rock legend Gregg Allman took the stage and performed his classic hits including, "I'm No Angel" and "Whipping Post".
Assistant Cullman City Police Chief Craig Green said things were going very well considering the the size of the crowd.
As of 10 p.m. Saturday night, approximately 15-20 arrests had been made according to Green.
