UPDATE: Road cleared for traffic after wreck on US 278 East

CULLMAN — Wreckage has been cleared from the road on U.S. 278 East near the St. Bernard bridge, allowing traffic to flow from the east, according to Cullman Fire Chief Ed Reinhardt.

The two-vehicle accident occurred just east of the bridge and left one person injured.

Reinhardt said the injured motorist was transported by ambulance from the scene. The accident occurred around 2:15 p.m. and involved a car and a pickup truck.
