Organizers of "Holly Pond's Got Talent" will be in search today to find the individual with the best vegetable, best canned goods, and best baked goods, as part of the town's Centennial Celebration.
The event, which is being held at the Lions Club Park, begins at 9 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m.
During the vegetable show, citizens of all ages will be able to participate in the vegetable category of their choice, as there are three age groups, youth, ages 18 and under; adult, ages 19-54; and senior adult, ages 55 and older.
The same also applies for those wishing to participate in the baked goods and canned goods show.
A singing is scheduled to be going on at the park as well. In case of rain, the singing will be moved to Holly Pond Methodist Church.
Fairview Bluegrass Festival in the Park
The annual Fairview Bluegrass Festival in the Park will be July 21, at Fairview Park with musical guests, Azalea Ridge Revival, Steve Helton, the Flint River Boys, and Possum Pickers. Jam session will be from noon to 5 p.m., with singing from 5 to 10 p.m. Free admission. Sponsored by the Town of Fairview.
Bring lawn chairs, blankets. Food vendors will be on site, no alcoholic beverages allowed and no animals inside the festival area.
