The Hanceville City Council approved the lease of the city Recreational Center for Pop-A-Top owner Eddie Hamm to host a Cornhole tournament on April 26-27.
Hamm said the tournament will be family friendly, but alcohol will also be served during the two day event.
“We will have food, drinks, horseshoes, the Cornhole tournament and more,” Hamm said.” We are going to make this fun for the whole family.”
Hamm said that tickets for the Cornhole tournament will be pre-sold, but general admission will be $5 at the door on the day of the event.
“That’s the thing about special events, it’s for all age groups, but those that are underage just cannot drink alcohol,” Hamm said. “You can participate in the tournament though or the events we have there. We will also have drawings for prizes”
When tickets become available, they will be sold at Pop-A-Top in Hanceville.
“If it goes well, we plan on doing more events like it,” Hamm said.
