CULLMAN —
Construction is well underway on a new Logan’s Roadhouse in Cullman, and company officials say the franchise is slated to open this fall.
The restaurant will be located at the old China Buffet location at 6092 Alabama Highway 157. The old restaurant facility at the site has been torn down, and crews are on site now doing interior work on the new building.
“Our team searches the country for the best restaurant sites, and we're excited about opening our first location in Cullman,” Logan’s Roadhouse spokesperson Michael F. Graham said. “We see a lot of opportunity in this area. We plan to be a valuable part of the community by bringing to Cullman a place where guests will feel comfortable, enjoy high-quality steaks, and a kicking, upbeat atmosphere, all at a great price.”
Logan’s is one in a long line of new restaurant franchises coming to Cullman. Work is also moving ahead on a Shane’s Rib Shack and Moe’s Original BBQ, while a Starbucks Coffee opened Saturday.
Cullman Economic Development Agency retail recruiter Susie Hood Ashley said the project is representative of the local economy’s resurgence.
“It’s so good to see all the work we’ve done over the last year and a half come to fruition with some business openings, because people sometimes don’t know how long it takes from the first conversation to a business actually opening its doors,” she said. “We’re very excited to see this one come together, so the public can see what we’ve been working on. It should definitely be a good economic swing for Cullman to have new businesses, and types of businesses, coming into town.”
Once open, the new restaurant will create approximately 130 new jobs, including part-time and full-time.
Logan’s Roadhouse currently owns and operates over 180 company-operated restaurants, and the Cullman location will mark the 21st in Alabama. The company was founded in 1991.
