CULLMAN — Employees with the City of Cullman and Cullman County will be rolling up their sleeves today for a friendly competition, all for a good cause.

The annual city-county blood drive is taking place until 5:30 p.m. today.

"We encourage everyone to come out and give blood," county coordinator Cherrie Haney said.

Donations for the city maybe made in the LifeSouth buses located at Festhalle Market Platz and Cullman Shopping Center. Red Cross busses will be available for Cullman County donations at the Cullman County Courthouse and Walmart Supercenter.

A free steak sandwich will be provided to donors by the Cullman County Cattlemen's Association. Donors may also register for giveaways.

Donors must be in good health, and be at least 17 years old and weigh 110 pounds or more. Identification is required for all blood donations.
