CULLMAN — The name of the six-year-old boy hit and killed by a car while riding his bicycle Thursday evening has been confirmed.
Jeremiah Harville, a first grade student at Cullman Primary School, died from injuries sustained in the crash in the Carroll Acres subdivision at aproximatley 5:15 p.m.
“The boy just did not see the car and the driver did not have time to react,” Cullman assistant police chief Craig Green said.
Green said authorities are treating the case as a traffic accident.
After the accident, the child was reportedly tranferred to Cullman Regional Medical Center, where he died from injuries sustained in the crash.
