Non-profit works to redirect lives, erase felony charges

  • Volunteer. Contact the program at 256-727-6531 for ways to help.
  • Donate. The program needs food, money and items ranging from a vehicle to an additional home for residents to lawn furniture and yard care equipment.
  • Write. The women who reside in transitional homes are under the watchful eye of the court system, and their lines of communication with the outside world are limited. Send a card with a word of encouragement, or share a story about overcoming adversity. It helps.
  • Hire. If you own a business and could use the labor of someone who’s working hard at turning her life around, call the outreach and express your interest. You can also email the director at carolberry@restoringwomen.org.
